Thomas Slides by Himself

Thomas goes down the slide by himself for the first time.  Karl was just trying to get some video of Thomas enjoying the slide--Thomas had kept saying "again" whenever he hit the bottom.  Little did Karl know that Thomas would suddenly thrust himself down.  Overall Thomas seemed very pleased with himself.

Thomas had his 15 month appointment on Wednesday. He’s 24 lbs. 9 ounces and 31 inches. And he hates the nurse. He cried more about the nurse weighing and measuring him than he cried about his shots. Actually, he just whimpered at his shots. He was so brave.  read more »

Pescadero State Beach and Marsh Hike

P1060386This was a nice, short, flat walk through Pescadero State Beach and the adjacent marsh lands.  Not anything strenuous (except for the parts where you have to hike on sand), but a very rewarding walk.  We saw seals, some very nice beaches, splashing waves, piles and piles of driftwood, and all sorts of birds.  read more »

Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo (November 2008)

Thomas learns science and watches geese, ducks, racoons, bats, snakes, ferrets, mice, fish, and bobcats at this wonderfully free and kid-sized learning center. The ducks were his favorite. Oh, and Karl tests the camera on his new phone.
