Merry Christmas everyone! We just spent our first Christmas together as husband and wife, and it was fun. Well, we sort of spent some of the holiday season together last year, and out in DC too, but we weren’t quite engaged yet. Just in case you hadn’t noticed yet, there’s only six more days until Christmas. This has us very excited, of course. We’re even more excited now that Karl’s finals are out of the way. (Technically, he still has to turn in a brief before Christmas Eve, but he’s not so worried about that). His last few finals proved extraordinarily stressful. He had a multiple guess final on Thursday afternoon that was just way too hard for the courseload. Then immediately after he finished that test, he started a 24 hour take-home exam, which ended up being a 20 page essay. read more »

We both really hate finals, now, but fortunately they’re almost done. Karl had finals last Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning, and Friday morning, plus a take-home final (which sounds a lot easier than it really is) that he did this weekend and turned in just this morning. Now, all he has left is another take-home exam and a final on Thursday afternoon. Plus a brief he has to turn in before Christmas Eve. For those of you who have never taken a law school final, count yourself lucky. But Karl feels that so far he’s doing better than he did last year. read more »

This has been a very busy week for Karl. He worked on a paper most of the week. A draft of it was due Friday by Midnight. This weekend he has been studying for his final on Monday. He is studying by listening to some of the classes online. He also has a final Tuesday morning. Angela kept herself busy Christmas shopping and working on a puzzle. read more »
