Karl did a lot of studying this week, which at one point involved listening to old class recordings for 2 days straight. His first Final was Wednesday. He feels pretty good about it. He has three finals this upcoming week. We will be glad when he is done.

Angela had two work lunches this week. Tuesday she went a Chinese buffet and Wednesday she went to a BBQ place. She was even given a target gift card for Christmas. She didn’t work Thursday and Friday, which probably wasn’t good for Karl. She really tried not to distract him from his studies.  read more »

Karl went to his last class of the semester this week. Woohoo! If only Finals didn’t start tomorrow. Karl’s spent a good portion of the week up in the office again studying for Finals.  read more »

Monday night we went out and bought a Christmas tree. They were more expensive this year than last. We were able to talk a guy down to $40 on a 8' Douglas Fir that barely fits in our living room. But that's a lot to spend on a tree, in our opinion. Maybe next year we'll do a fake one. We decorated on Wednesday night, after finally figuring out how to keep the tree from falling crooked. It's a nice tree, but it sure needs a lot of water.

Here's some pictures and video from our trip to Austin over Thanksgiving. We stayed with Karl's grandparents and had lots of yummy food. We also went to have BBQ in Taylor with Amy and Susie, visited the Capitol, and strolled around Zilker Park.

Karl has been busy studying this week. Lately he’s taken to hiding in the office and listening to old lectures for hours at a time. Of course, the office is the warmest room in our house right now, so who can blame him. By the way, we haven’t had highs above freezing all week. Next week is his last week of class and then he has two weeks allotted for Finals. This means Angela will start a puzzle soon. She has done this every Finals time since we have been married.  read more »
