Burried in Snow

Karl did a lot of studying this week, which at one point involved listening to old class recordings for 2 days straight. His first Final was Wednesday. He feels pretty good about it. He has three finals this upcoming week. We will be glad when he is done.

Angela had two work lunches this week. Tuesday she went a Chinese buffet and Wednesday she went to a BBQ place. She was even given a target gift card for Christmas. She didn’t work Thursday and Friday, which probably wasn’t good for Karl. She really tried not to distract him from his studies.

Saturday we went to Angela’s sister’s house to celebrate her Mom’s and Brother Richard’s birthdays. We had some good food. Angela asked one of her nephews if he wanted to go home with them and to her surprise he said yes. Since there was no room for him she had to tell him he could come another day. The question is this, would Angela and Karl survive the visit of a three year boy, for now that will remain unanswered.

Saturday evening we had a ward Christmas party. The purpose was to take a back to the time of Christ. Many dressed up. There were booths with different items we could buy. It was great idea, but we think it could have been done better.

Today and yesterday it snowed quite and bit, which is weird because it was warm all week. This week looks to be cold so we hope that means the snow stays until Christmas. Who wouldn’t like a White Christmas?

Re: Burried in Snow

I really love your website. What a neat way to record all the wonderful things (and the snow) that happen in your life. We are recovering from one of the Northwest's trademark wind storms. It always leaves me wondering, "Why don't they bury the power lines and be done with it. We had no power for 5 days. Luckily our water is heated by gas so we were able to take showers. I have come to the conclusion that it is the warmth emanating from the heater vents that truely make a house a home. We spent most of the 5 days at work because the temp dipped below 30. It was an easy decision. The power came back on last night at around 8 pm. I phoned home from work and heard the glorious sound of my answering machine--woo hoo. Tonight we came home early to enjoy the electricity and wouldn't you know it the entire east side was blacked out again. I lost it entirely. It was like the final scene in "Planet of the Apes" where Charlton Heston rounds the bend and discovers the remains of The Statue of Liberty.

...and this is the clincher. I fumbled in the dark to open the door and when I flipped on the light switch just for the heck of it, all the lights came back on. WEIRD!

Merry Christmas and enjoy your snow.
