Busy as a Bee

Karl has been busy studying this week. Lately he’s taken to hiding in the office and listening to old lectures for hours at a time. Of course, the office is the warmest room in our house right now, so who can blame him. By the way, we haven’t had highs above freezing all week. Next week is his last week of class and then he has two weeks allotted for Finals. This means Angela will start a puzzle soon. She has done this every Finals time since we have been married.

Tuesday was a sad day for Karl. He lost his final BYU intramural game. It was very cold and windy and snowy that night. Angela was unable to attend because of her photography class. The score was 6 to 10.

We started our homemade advent calendar. Angela’s Mom made it for us just in time for December. We enjoy it.

Friday Karl bought a new cell phone that is also a PDA. The Sprint PPC-6700. He has wanted this ever since last summer when he decided not to get a new PocketPC, but he had to wait until the year was up on the phone he bought last December (even though it had broken buttons and the battery wasn’t lasting very long). Hopefully this new phone will be better. He was able to talk the salesman down to a great deal—same price we would have paid if he’d been a new customer. He had to threaten to cancel Sprint service to do it (mentioning a desire for a Motorola Q phone, which Sprint doesn’t have, seemed to make them believe he would really follow through on the threat). Since he bought it on over the phone, he won’t get it until this next week.
