
Here we are another week closer to Christmas. We are looking forward to the holidays. Karl was busy this last week so he could get everything done before we leave for Texas. Hopefully he will be able to wrap things up this week.

Tuesday night Angela went to Enrichment, where they had pizza and fun. Angela participated in a Christmas tree ornament swap—she came back a little disappointed because she had bought a nice one, and ended up with one that she didn’t like very much. But she didn’t want to trade it away because she didn’t want to make the person who brought it feel bad (nobody else was trading either—guess most people either liked their ornaments or didn’t want to make people feel bad either). Well we did it, or should I say he did it. Thomas is able to fall asleep on his own for bedtime. Actually, he hasn’t had too much difficulty going to bed at night since we began an earlier bedtime. Usually he is nursed to sleep then gently put in his crib. read more »

This is the most exciting geek news I've heard in a while, and the sad thing is that it took me more than a month to find out about it. Guess that's what happens when you get a kid and a real job.

Have you ever noticed how, perhaps moreso than any other holiday, Americans obsess over making sure people have "a place to go" for Thanksgiving? This thought occurred to me in my interactions with co-workers last week? As with most holiday work-weeks, conversations inevitably turned to what we were doing for the holiday--but, more often than not, the discourse revolved around the question of "do you have a place to go for Thanksgiving" as opposed to "are you doing anything special for Thanksgiving."
