Angela has been working for the same company for the last seven years. She is rather tired of it. She is somewhat an expert in her field, so her company would hate to lose her. They would like her to continue working from home in California after we move to California. What do you all think Angela should do? Is it time to start something new? Should she try math tutoring, photography,...., or should she except this nice offer. Please post your comments. Any job ideas are welcome.

Re: What should Angela do?
That is a hard call. Prehaps she should take them up on the offer till she is settled out there and explores her new possibilities. She can always quit later. That way she gets to stay at home with the baby, earn some money for savings, and explore new possibilities.

Re: What should Angela do?
What would the motivation for working remotely be? To earn a little extra? To not get "bored"? Perhaps part-time (like 20 hours) would be enough if it's one of those reasons. But new adventures are always fun too, so leave some time in your day to look around for other opportunities!

Re: What should Angela do?
I am sure I would be busy enough with baby, but I thought something part time might keep the brain moving and talents up. So mainly a little break from Mommyhood. Just not sure my current job would be much of a break. I wouldn't want more than 20 hours a week and I want to be able to do it from home. It will also be fun to have some Angela-Rebecca playtime (while your are on leave). In a perfect world I would take time off until Christmas, then work alittle from home, but not sure that would work. Decisions, decisions. We will see, the current job refined might work.

Yay for playtime! And Wayne wonders what in the world I would "do" with 12 weeks of maternity leave. :) Is there a deadline for telling your current job what you want to do?

There is no deadline. I would probably need to decide before we move to California, so I could take a work laptop along if needed.
