Clap Clap Clap and 123

The rain finally ended last Wednesday (except for a short storm on Friday).  And the puddles evaporated enough that we did some more work on sprinklers on Saturday.  We also went to a park while Karl played frisbee on Saturday.  Saturday evening, we had “Girls night out” and “Boys night out,” respectively.  Angela’s girl’s night out was way more relaxing, but at least Karl, Thomas, and Jonah had fun at Arby’s.  Friday night we all went to the church and participated in game night.  Thomas ran around wild, while we kept Jonah up almost two hours past bedtime playing Puerto Rico with a couple in the ward.

Jonah likes to stick his tongue out a lot for unbelievably long times.  He looks like a little puppy panting or something.   We guess he like feeling his gums—maybe his top teeth are coming in.  He also makes the sound “dada” a lot.  It’s not really focused to any one person, though, so we won’t call it his first word quite yet.  Jonah has clapped his hands a few times.  One of them was when we picked up Daddy for lunch and Jonah saw Daddy coming through the window. (Super cute)

Thomas got a new Sunday outfit, including his first tie.  He looks like the perfect little gentleman—if only he acted like it when other people aren’t around.  Thomas is also getting more adept with the computer and phones.  A few weeks ago he started calling daddy’s office and asking for daddy (Karl’s receptionist loved it, but we thought it would be best to put phones out of reach for now on).  Meanwhile, he’s starting to be able to start computer games by himself and send “messages” via instant messenger (although he’s not very good at figuring out who he’s talking too—he thinks it’s daddy, but it’s usually not).  So anyway, in addition to troubleshooting some computer problems with a new hard drive, Karl’s been reinstalling Windows and figuring out parental controls so Thomas can’t get into trouble (i.e. so he can’t erase all of our files).
