What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

We had a very fun and busy week. Monday and Wednesday we did our running. Karl ran 3 miles in about 30 minutes both nights (which gave him a newfound appreciation for Angela running the 5k in 31 minutes last year, but hopefully with a little practice he’ll get the time down). Angela ran and walked 2 ½ miles in about the same time. Tuesday, Angela went to Enrichment and Karl worked on his patent. Since no one showed up on Tuesday to play Frisbee (a massive thunderstorm), we played a little Frisbee by ourselves on Wednesday. Karl helped Angela with her ultimate Frisbee skills.  read more »

Sadly, there’s only one more week before Karl starts school again. Although he would like to say that he’s been using the last few weeks to goof off and relax, he instead has been working 40 hour weeks at home finishing off a patent. The good news is (1) he’ll get a little money once he’s done, and (2) much of what he’s learned doing the patent will be directly applicable to his courses next semester. Angela, meanwhile, had a boring/relaxing week at work (depending on how you look at it).  read more »

When we got up American Fork Canyon this weekend and saw the back of Timpanogos we finally realized why the forest service strongly recommended we not hike it this weekend. There's still snow all over the place. I've never seen this much snow in July before. So we decided to hike up and see some snow. Well, our principle purpose was to see Silver Lake, but there was snow up there too.  read more »
