Well this week Angela gave in and we bought a new LCD HDTV. It was a very good deal. Karl had been researching these for months. It is a 32 inch Olevia brand, and we like it. It’s amazing how much detail you can see—hair strands on people’s heads, for instance. Apparently we get all of our local HD channels for free on cable, as well as a few others. For instance, we get every NBA game for free. Not sure how that happens. We are hoping to sell our old TV to Angela’s Brothers, but if not we will try to sell it to someone else. Anyone want a 27 inch tube TV for perhaps $100?  read more »

Tuesday, Angela had another doctor's appointment. That night Angela had a game night at church and Karl went and played frisbee in the coldest weather he's ever played in. It was at least 0F. Which brings up a very important point--it didn't get out of the teens much at all this week. This has got to be the coldest Utah winter ever. Well, at least since Karl moved here. Karl started school on Wednesday. He is taking two classes—Technology Licensing and Internet/Ecommerce. He also taught a journal training class that evening (chewed everybody out for everything they did wrong last semester—what a bully). Maybe that’s why they lost two editors this week. He also put in some hours working for his firm.

Thursday night Angela had her monthly Law Partners book club. Angela was afraid that no one would could because of the falling snow. Two showed up and they discussed “The Peacegiver.”  read more »

The most exciting thing we did this week is book a Caribbean cruise for the end of February. We can’t tell you how happy the thought of that cruise has made us during the snowstorm that hit us over the weekend. We got a pretty good deal on it too, so that it’s only slightly more expensive than our Oregon Coast trip last year.  read more »

We booked a Carribean cruise for the end of February! We're so excited to get out of the cold and into the sun, we just wish we didn't have to wait another month. We got a great deal on it, too.
