Here's a few pictures Angela took of Karl playing Ultimate in his tournament last June.

Hopefully, nobody out there has been sitting at the edge of their computer wondering when Karl and Angela will send out their next email. If so, we apologize. But yes, we made it to and back from California safely. It was a pretty hectic week and weekend.  read more »

June Beach Trip

Relaxing on La Selva Beach
We drove down to Santa Cruz on Saturday to look for a beach to relax on. Most of the ones in Santa Cruz looked too crowded, so we headed south to La Selva beach. It was less crowded, and had all of the essentials. Not our favorite beach in the world, but still a fun way to spend the afternoon.

June Kite Flying

Flying a kite with Wayne and Becky
We went up to the Rivermark on Friday to have a picnic and fly a kite. There was a pretty good wind, and Becky and Wayne were able to fly the kite very well. Karl and Angela had problems, though. All and all, a fun evening.

Bonneville Salt Flats

We stopped at the Bonneville Salt Flats on our way to San Jose this weekend. It was flat. And salty. Kind of looked like ice. But Angela will attest to it being very hot.

Oremfest Fireworks

Just a few pictures of fireworks
These are the result of us experimenting with our camera's settings during a fireworks display in June. Nothing too spectacular.

Diamond Fork Campout

Camping at Diamond Campground in Diamond Fork Canyon
Karl and pregnant Angela went camping in mid-May. It was a good time of year for it. The campground was pretty nice, with a river running through it and hiking trails along the river. We were lucky to find a spot, though, since there were tons of boy scout and Father & Sons groups. Of course, with our son tucked away in Angela's belly, we guess you could say this was Karl's first Father and Son campout.

Happy Father's Day Karl

Tuesday we had another Prenatal Class. We watched a couple of birth videos and a video on the epidural. We decided that we are grateful for our Mothers. It made Angela a little nervous, but it is too late to turn back now. We learned a tip on how to tell when it is time to go to the hospital. If Angela is happy about being in Labor, then we should probably wait. The class ran over, so the hospital tour will be next week.  read more »

Angela had her first 5-day work week this week in since mid-May. Fortunately, it wasn’t as stressful as some of the last few weeks—probably because she got to work with a new, much more diligent trainee, instead of her old one. Karl meanwhile studied for the bar and worked on our soon-to-be-released website. We also did research on moving expenses. It looks like we’ll be fortunate enough to have all of our expenses covered by work, even packing. But who knew you had to be so careful about who you hired to move your stuff?  read more »

Poked with a Boring Week

Journal

After our fun Memorial Day Weekend, this week was pretty dull. Karl worked on the new website and on office actions for work. He received the materials (about two feet high) for the Bar review, so he is ready to dive into it next week.

Tuesday evening Karl played Frisbee. Angela found out that her trainee will be staying only until the end of June and that she will need to train someone else. Not a lot of time to train someone now, but she hopes it will go a lot better than with the first one. She is still amazed by how slow the first trainee is.  read more »
