Cycling to Work

Karl bought a bike on very cheap mountain bike Monday night.  Since the only purpose of it is to ride back and forth along 4.5 miles of unpaved, somewhat rocky, and mostly flat trail every day, we decided that we didn’t need anything particularly fancy.  Of course, there were hidden costs.  The people at Target had put it together very hastily, so it wouldn’t shift into third and the brakes were constantly rubbing against the back wheel.  So Karl spent the entire evening and well into the night disassembling (the easy part) and reassembling (the part he had to learn) his bike.  Now  read more »
