Thomas is walking all over the place now. He can get from the living room all the way into the bathroom in our bedroom without any problems. He’s begun to think of walking as a way to get places, although he still will reach for our hands or pant legs if we’re nearby, to make sure we come along with him. Meanwhile, we’re giving him more and more adult food—pizza, even. But he’s a little picky about some of the adult food—basically anything that’s not bread or milk or cheese.
Monday we took Thomas to his first baseball game. Karl’s entire firm went to see the San Jose Giants (a minor league team). We had BBQ before. Thomas then made it three innings before he started to tire. Thomas loved hanging out with all the people in the firm, but was surprisingly scared of the mascot—especially when the mascot came up tried to shake his hand.
After Monday, it was a laid-back week, filled mostly with pool-times, book-reading, and video games (we got our Xbox fixed, finally). We had a cheesecake luncheon with Becky and Wayne for National Cheesecake day (thanks Becky!). Angela went with Thomas to a pool party on Friday. We watched Paela Saturday afternoon, and took Thomas and Paela to the pool after their naps. Then Angela went alone to girl’s night out on Saturday. (Karl had hamburgers in the park with Thomas while Angela was away).
