Easy Chocolate Cheesecake (and yummy)

Description

This is a no bake chocolate cheesecake that is so good and easy to make.  We had it with chocolate graham cracker crust on "pie" day.  I found in on About.com.

Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1⁄2 c sugar
  • 11 oz cream cheese
  • 2 c frozen whipped topping (thawed)
  • 1 graham cracker crust
  • 1 leftover whipped topping to top pie off
  • 1 shaved chocolate as topping if desired

Instructions

Melt chocolate chips over low heat in saucepan or microwave, stirring frequently until smooth and melted. Set aside to cool. In large mixer bowl beat cream cheese, sugar and butter until smooth. On low speed blend in the melted chocolate. Fold in whipped topping until blended. Spoon cheese chocolate filling mixture into prepared graham cracker crust. Cover and chill until firm. Garnish with whipped topping and shaved chocolate, if desired.

Notes

The crust recipe I also found online:  10-12 crushed graham crackers 4-6 TBP butter.  Bake 8-10 minutes at 350.
