To make a long story short, we didn’t close on the house this weekend because we hate our lenders.  Wait.  Hate’s a strong word.  And we don’t like to bite the hands that feed us.  But yes, they’re not our favorite people.   Very non-communicative.  We feel like we’re pulling teeth to get information out of them.  Anyway, we’re fairly confident it will be sorted out by the end of this week.  The underwrite wants guarantees that certain repairs will be made within a month or so of buying the house.  read more »

Banana Bread

Angela made some banana bread on Monday.  Thomas was able to try a little on Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday, he must thought he deserved some more.  He reached up to the table, pulled down the bread, unwrapped the foil, and carried it to Mommy.  At first, Angela worried that maybe he had climbed onto the table, but instead he stood on his tippy toes and reached (blindly, since he’s shorter than the table) his little heart out.  He must really have wanted it.  read more »
