We went on a short hike to walk amongst the famous Ano Nuevo elephant seals. It was cool to be so close to them and see all the newborns. They were so big! Afterward, we had lunch at Pescadero Beach. Thomas loved the tide pools.

Happy New Year!  It was a half holiday week for us, with Karl working Tuesday while Angela and Thomas ran all sorts of errands.  Thomas sure appreciated being at home and sleeping in his own crib, but we can tell he also missed Angela’s family.  read more »

Here we are making use of our Christmas presents--stylish custom-print aprons and a new bike/bike carrier.

For New Year's Day we took Thomas for a short hike in Butano State Park, and then for a little visit to Pomponio Beach. He liked hiking much better than he did last New Year's Day. He liked walking around, and then when he got tired of walking, he sat in Karl's backpack and sang to us for nearly the rest of the hike (at the end he got a little cranky--probably because he wouldn't go to sleep). What a difference a year makes!
