On our last day in Kauai, we decided to relax a lot on the beach, both in Poipu and near Waimea. Check out the boogie boarding! Too bad Thomas was afraid of the waves.

Monday we headed to the Wailua River for a kayaking adventure.   P1060777Since they had a life jacket for Thomas and they allowed him to go on the kayak, we decided to do that instead of the Canoe ride.  Thomas hated the life jacket, almost as much as the kayak.  At first he screamed bloody murder when we sat him with  read more »

For our fourth anniversary, we visited Kauai. Angela's parents and brothers Richard and Johnny also tagged along (we needed someone to watch Thomas for us, after all). It was lots of fun and we took way too many pictures.

Aloha!  Here we are in Hawaii (the island of Kauai, to be precise), vacationing with Angela’s family (parents, Jonathan, and Richard).  We rented a small flat in Poipu for the week, and we so far have been having a great time.  Except for the part where Thomas decided to spend all Friday night and Saturday vomiting.  Yes, once again he decided to get sick during a major vacation.  He had a slight fever and wouldn’t keep anything down yesterday (although he fooled us enough in the morning that we made it all the way to the north shore before we realized he was still sick).  We went  read more »

Well our week begins with a cute story.  P1060700Last Sunday we had Becky and Wayne over for a finger food dinner and games (an anti-super bowl party if you will).  As they were leaving we suggested to Thomas to give Paela a hug goodbye.  To our amazement, not only did he give her a hug, but a kiss with a big smooch sou  read more »

We did a lot of home shopping this week.  Between the money that were saving and falling mortgage rates, we’re getting closer and closer to finding a nice place in our price range.  So we’ve been looking online at places, and even had our agent take us around on Thursday.  I think we’ve reluctantly determined that we’re going to have to live further from Karl’s work than we’d like, but hopefully not too far.  read more »
