Karl and Angela Rees

Thomas had neither the library nor his class to look forward to this week, but he and Angela still found things to do.  Thursday, they went a nice long walk with her visiting teacher.  Friday, they went to the first pool party of the year.  It was great weather, but maybe the water was a little too cold or maybe Thomas forgot he likes to swim or maybe Thomas was upset about falling in the kiddie pool and getting his face wet.  We had missionaries over on Wednesday and Angela cooked North Carolina BBQ pork.  They were a quiet pair, but Thomas was entertained, and it was still nice to ha  read more »

Tuesday we found out we did not get the house.  There were 5 bids and one was a lot higher than ours, even though ours was higher than the listing price.  So we have been house hunting again.  It would really be nice to be in a house before the new one comes.  Yesterday we even went to an open house and  read more »

Karl spent a lot of time working this week.  A big client who hadn’t given the firm new work in a while called on the firm to do a rush job to write and file an application before a big demo this week.  His boss claims he asked Karl to handle the matter because they really want to impress the client so that the client will give them more cases in the future.  But Karl wonders if maybe he was just the only attorney who had his docket clear enough at the moment to handle a rush application like this.  At any rate, Karl’s been paying a lot of attention to the application so that the c  read more »

On Monday, Thomas and Angela went to a playdate.  There were 5 other moms there.  Thomas enjoyed playing outside with Ben (2 1/2 years old).  They played in the rain gutter.   read more »

Our first campout of the year took place in a campground overlooking the beach. Rebecca, Wayne and Paela joined us.
